Mitutoyo Corporation (Head office: Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City; President: Yoshiaki Numata) has been selling the highly versatile
QS-L/AF series manual vision measuring system since 1998. With the addition of a large stage and new quick release mechanism in 2008, it achieved improved operability and the ability to measure large workpieces. Mitutoyo has now developed a new model with improved observation performance and high-speed auto focusing.

To meet market demand for simple, fast, low-cost measuring and observation, the QS-L/AF series vision measuring system, developed by Mitutoyo for a wide range of applications, has an X/Y-axis stage with traditional quick release mechanism for simple positioning, a zoom optical system with interchangeable objective lens for easy magnification of the observation image, and a vision unit equipped with a megapixel color camera for high-definition color vision that enables high-speed auto focusing.

Enabling simpler, more advanced and precise measurement, Mitutoyo contributes to society by providing precision measuring for the continuously evolving future of manufacturing.

[Main features]

High-speed auto focusing through high-definition color vision
This series is equipped with a 3 megapixel color camera. It comes with high-speed auto focusing to improve measurement throughput. High-definition color vision also enables realistic reproduction of the detail of observation images on the monitor.

Zoom lens system with interchangeable objective lenses
The series is equipped with an optical system that combines a high magnification 7X zoom lens with 1X, 1.5X and 2X objective lenses. This enables a maximum zoom ratio of 14X. The 7X zoom lens, with eight steps of magnification, enables observation and measurement with a wider view field and higher magnification by quickly selecting an appropriate magnification according to the size of the workpiece, and combining interchangeable objective lenses, which enables flexible handling of a wide range of measurement workpieces.

LEDs used for all lighting
The illumination system uses high-intensity white LED lighting for vertical reflected light, transmitted light and ring lights (4-quadrant switching capability). In addition to generating little heat and consuming little power, LED lighting exhibits little color change when changing light intensity, so tones are constant when observing vision even when changing the light intensity.

Unique quick release mechanism
This series comes with a unique quick release mechanism that enables intuitive operation through simple and fast positioning, with manual movement along the X-axis and Y-axis achieved without taking the hand off the handle.

Stage options
Long stroke measurement is possible up to a maximum of 400 mm (X-axis) × 200 mm (Y-axis) × 150 mm (Z-axis).
