Mitutoyo Corporation (Head office: Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City; President: Yoshiaki Numata) is announcing the release of MiSCAN Vision System, adding to the product line of CNC vision measuring machines, on November 1, 2018.
Mitutoyo’s vision measuring machine was first released in 1993; since then, the machines have been widely chosen in industries including electrical and electronics, automobiles, medicine and medical, and parts machining. Our CNC vision measuring machines help our customers to improve their product quality and productivity in precision parts measurement and automatic inspections.
In recent years, the need for fine processing technology has been increasing rapidly, including the sensing technology essential in vehicle motorization and autonomous driving technology. Responding to the need for high-accuracy and highly-efficient contour measurement targeting fine machine parts, the newly released MiSCAN Vision System is equipped with a simultaneously developed small diameter scanning probe: MPP-NANO.
Mitutoyo’s precision measurements will continue to contribute to the future of evolving manufacturing.

[Main features]

Supporting contact scanning probes
MiSCAN Vision System is a hybrid measuring machine developed based on our two proven machines; one is 3D CMM for contour measurements using a scanning probe and the other is Quick Vision, a CNC vision measuring machine. Combining the vision measuring, which is indispensable for measuring fine machine parts, and the contact scanning probe has achieved high-accuracy and highly-efficient measurement.

Supporting the MPP-NANO small diameter contact scanning probe
The newly developed MPP-NANO contact scanning probe has tip diameters of 125 µm, 300 µm and 500 µm, enabling high accuracy and low force measurement of fine machine parts. Using the probe with the vision measuring function also enables precise positioning and targeting measurement of narrow and small sections.

Supporting RENISHAW’s SP25M
RENISHAW’s SP25M scanning probe can be attached. The machine can be introduced as a general-purpose vision and touch-probe combination machine using the FCR25 stylus changer (optional).
