MitutoyoLab&FactoryHiroshimaAreaKurePlant/ShiwaPlantIn1947,theHiroshimaLaboratorywasestablishedinaplaceadjacenttothehousewherethefounderofourcompanyhadbeenborn.Today,thissiteishometotheShiwaPlant,thecenterofourintegratedproductionofmicrometers.WealsohavetheKurePlantinHiro-machi,KureCity,whichproducesformandopticalmeasuringinstruments;andthePrecisionCastingDepartmentinGohara-cho,KureCity,whichspecializesinmaterialprocessing.Ourhistoryhasbeenwovenbyoperationsateachsite.NakatsugawaPlantKochiPlantOperatinginNakatsugawainGifuPrefecturesince1997,theNakatsugawaPlantisdedicatedtomanufacturinghighquality,high-performancemeasuringinstrumentssuchasdialindicators.TheNakatsugawaPlanttakesadvantageofitsgeographicproximitytocustomersintheChubuareathathasthrivingcarandmachinetoolindustries.OpenedinKonanCity,Kochi,inNovember2022,theKochiPlantproducesmicrometerheadsthatplayanimportantroleinfinepositioningandthefeedingmechanismsusedinagrowingrangeofindustriesincludingsemiconductors,electricvehicles,andelectroniccomponents.MiyazakiPlantResearchandDevelopmentDivisionBoastingworld-classquality,operationsatourMiyazakiPlantbeganin1985inTanocho,MiyazakiCityasaspecializedplantforgageblocksandotherstandards.Inordertorealizethenanometeraccuracyrequiredforgageblocks,wehaveaproprietarylightwaveinterferometerinstalledinanundergroundprecisionmeasurementfacility.Bytakingadvantageofourworldwidecollaborativestructureandthehighlevelofexpertiseaccumulatedbyourdevelopmentbases,wecontinuetoexplorefrontiertechnologiesanddevelopnewproductstohelpourcustomerssolvetheirproblems.WehavethreebasesacrossJapan,locatedinKawasaki,Sapporo,andMiyazaki.12
