MITUTOYO has a traceability system for conformance with national standards, centered on accredited staffs who are measurement technologies experts. These staffs set up equipment that conforms to secondary standards and is traceable to relevant national standards, along with equipment used for comparison with standards, so that only standards-compliant instruments are used to calibrate the company's various measuring instruments, thereby ensuring that all measuring instruments used by customers are traceable to national standards.
 Mitutoyo management systems are designed to excel through an organizational structure that promotes responsibility to achieving and maintaining the highest performance in quality and environmental controls by implementing policies, procedures and processes commensurate to the standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 respectively.  Both MITUTOYO's domestic calibration centers as well as its overseas subsidiary calibration centers provide calibration services for measuring instruments, having received ISO/IEC 17025 certification from accreditation organizations. Further, MITUTOYO's calibration centers also handle requests to external calibration centers, such as for ISO 9001, QS-9000, and ISO/TS 16949.  MITUTOYO Corporation is certified for the display of the JIS mark, based on the standards for the display of the JIS mark. Corresponding caliper and micrometer products bear the JIS mark.
 MITUTOYO products are tested for product safety in accordance with Europe's EC Directives, and bear the CE mark. Additionally, devices that use lasers are tested in accordance with the relevant safety standards, so that the measuring instruments can be used safely.
