Following the corporate motto, "Good environment, good people, good techniques," the entire company is working toward global environment conservation as one of the major themes of Mitutoyo's corporate activities.

(2)	Establish environment-related goals to minimize environmental burdens, periodically review these goals, and work to further improve our environmental management system.
(3)	Seek to develop more environment-friendly products.
(4)	Make effective use of natural resources, improve energy efficiency, reduce use of toxic substances and disposal of waste, and promote recycling and re-utilization of materials.
(5)	Educate employees in environmental issues, raise environment safety awareness, and increase environmental expertise.

MITUTOYO established its company-wide environmental management system in 1999, and has since been active in environmental protection activities centered on developing more environment-friendly products and reducing the environmental impacts of our facilities.

At MITUTOYO, we are seeking to develop more environment-friendly products that minimize environmental impacts in various ways. One way is by promoting "green procurement" activities, which emphasize using environment-friendly parts and materials.



MITUTOYO actively promotes the application of the European RoHS Directive (a directive of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union that restricts the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment), and currently offers RoHS-compliant products such as the following.
